Primary Job Responsibilities:

The Accounting Associate is responsible for general accounting tasks including AR, AP, and GL activity, ad hoc reporting, and assisting with company filings and audits. This role will provide ongoing assistance to the Finance team based on continued business needs and growth of the Company.

The essential roles and responsibilities are outlined below:

  • Assisting with vendor payments and vendor management
  • Accounts payable entry and assisting with purchase order management, reporting, and analysis
  • Assisting with payroll processing 
  • Assisting with expense report processing and credit card reconciliation
  • Assisting with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process 
  • Actively participate in implementation of new accounting/ERP system 
  • Performing other accounting, financial and administrative tasks as required, including necessary support for financial audit and internal control compliance
  • Applying principles of accounting in compliance with US GAAP 
  • Research and resolve financial issues and discrepancies as they arise and assist members of the Finance team with special projects as needed
  • Optimize procedures and the effectiveness of the Finance department  

Job and Level Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA preferred
  • A minimum of 1 year of accounting experience required in a fast-paced environment 
  • Experience with general ledger control and account reconciliation; knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements and SOX compliance
  • Detailed and deadline-oriented individual with a high degree of accuracy 
  • Proactive in addressing issues and implementing improvements 
  • Willing and able to expand skill set and knowledge within the position to meet the changing needs of the organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong focus on business partnership and high degree of discretion and confidentiality
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and other relevant MS Office applications
  • Experience with SAP, Concur and other related applications is preferred
