Primary Job Responsibilities:

Specific tasks/projects, skills, short and long-term objectives, management responsibilities, if any

  • Competent in HPLC analyses, preferably with Shimadzu HPLC
  • Prepare formulations for pharmacology and toxicology studies
  • Ability to develop and write simple formulation batch records
  • Documentation of experiments both manually and electronically
  • Review analytical methods, method validation protocols and reports, CMC regulatory documents, or other documents as needed
  • Perform general lab maintenance activities, e.g. glassware washing, ordering supplies
  • Other duties as assigned

Job and Level Requirements:

Minimum education and experience required, also ideal but not required qualifications

  • The candidate must have a BA/BS degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy or related field. A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry in analytical chemistry.
  • The candidate must have a working knowledge of cGMP principles.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, organizational and planning skills are required. In addition, strong proofreading and expertise with Word and Excel are preferred.
  • The candidate should be detail-oriented, a self- starter and be comfortable with working independently on laboratory projects.
  • Prior experience writing CMC technical reports or CMC regulatory content is desired.
  • Ability to be flexible and work changing priorities.
