G1 Therapeutics is seeking a talented Vice President of US Market Access & Reimbursement to join the Commercial team.

This role will build and lead the commercial function responsible for delivering rapid and comprehensive access for products across G1's oncology portfolio. This leader will collaborate across the organization to develop and implement compelling payer value propositions and own the distribution, trade, channel, contracting and pricing strategies for G1's oncology products.


  • Serve as a member of the Commercial Leadership team. Set strategy, build out key capabilities, and flawlessly implement our launch
  • Design and drive the strategic plan to build G1's market access capabilities within the US, including the establishment of access field teams, strategic account management, patient access programs, trade and distribution, contracting, health economics and pricing
  • Build and maintain an integrated and compelling growth and performance strategy, identifying key macro trends while positioning the product portfolio for continued growth. Assess market dynamics among payers, healthcare providers, and other key stakeholders to create appropriate pricing and access strategies
  • Oversee the design, development, and execution of access programs, resources, and pull-through tactics with payers and strategic accounts
  • Develop G1's strategy for Managed Care, Pharmacy Benefit Management, State Medicaid, Medicare, and Federal VA/DOD channels
  • Establish relationships with payers, channel players, hospital systems and integrated health networks to develop and implement strategies that ensure patients have access to G1's products
  • Facilitate the development of relationships between payers and G1's executive teams to help identify areas of common interest for partnership to support broad definitions of value and a long-term perspective
  • Execute channel strategies to support current and future products. Oversight for channel inventory control and revenue recognition
  • Demonstrate market access thought leadership and represent G1 at key meetings, functions, and conferences, etc., when appropriate
  • Build a compliance culture and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulatory mandates


  • Bachelor's degree. MBA or other relevant graduate degree preferred
  • 15+ years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience, including at least 8 years of experience in leadership roles in areas such as market access, managed care, distribution, pricing, health economics and outcomes research, with deep experience in the U.S. market access & reimbursement landscape required
  • Record of attracting and developing strong market access talent required
  • Oncology therapeutic experience required
  • Biotech or pharmaceutical US marketplace launch experience required
  • Experience designing and building out a commercial function is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including ability to synthesize data and deliver a clear overview of market access strategy, opportunity and risks for the Executive Team
  • Strong negotiating skills required
  • In depth understanding of all relevant US legal, compliance and regulatory requirements required
  • Travel as required
