G1 Therapeutics is seeking an experienced Market Research & Analytics professional to join the team.

Responsibilities:

The Director of Market Research & Analytics will be responsible for developing the data analytics plan, secondary and primary market research plan, forecasts, competitive intelligence scenarios and market landscapes, along with other priorities.  This role will build the Market Research & Analytics function at G1 at the appropriate time based on planned milestones as well as supervise the execution of market research projects with a primary focus on supporting product launch. This individual will also be charged with integrating primary market research results with data analytics and other information to derive key insights and conclusions to drive the success of supported brands.

  • Develop a plan that will answer the key business questions and generate actionable conclusions and insights to drive commercial success.
  • Play a lead role on the launch planning team including creating situational analyses, competitive landscapes, forecasts and market data tracking dashboards.
  • Identify qualified suppliers to conduct market research studies for relevant stakeholders including providers, patients and payers and manage the procurement process to engage suppliers for needed studies in a cost-effective manner and compliant with industry and company standards & policies.
  • Supervise the conduct of qualitative and quantitative primary market research studies in a collaborative manner ensuring that perspectives of all team members and partners are considered in crafting the content of discussion guides, surveys, etc. and the study methodology is appropriate to deliver reliable results.
  • Ensure that the conclusions and implications drawn from market research studies are sound, relevant to the underlying business questions, supported by data, and communicated effectively to team members, partners, and company management. The Director will be providing regular updates to the Executive Committee and helping prepare content for Board presentations.
  • Integrate the results of individual market research studies along with data analytics and other information to summarize key insights and drive formulation of brand strategy and tactics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of related pharmaceutical industry experience including 7+ years of experience in market research, sales operations, sales/marketing analytics, managed markets or business analysis. MBA highly desirable.
  • 3+ years of Oncology market analysis and insights experience and market understanding is required.
  • Proven record of drawing insights from primary market research with patients, health care providers, and payers to guide business decisions in support of launch products.
  • Proven record of utilizing data analytics (e.g., marketing mix optimization, promotion-response modeling) to inform marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Experience in analyzing and leveraging claims data and other real-world data to understand and predict market trends.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to integrate information to derive actionable insights.
  • Expertise to lead selection of appropriate market research methodologies (both qualitative and quantitative) for a wide variety of business questions and willingness to do the hands-on work required to manage the resulting projects.
  • People management experience required as this person will be building and leading a critical function within the commercial organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required ability to summarize results from disparate sources in a concise manner for senior management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross functional teams is required with a history of leadership, initiative and persistence in achieving organizational objectives.
  • Advanced level of experience with MS Excel and PowerPoint.
